Xinfan Palm Leaves Weaving: Showcase of Woven Wonders

Authors: Jay Liu; Photo/Video: Wei Jiaxin

Xinfan Palm Leaves Weaving (Xinfan Weaving), listed as the third batch of national-level ICH (Intangible Cultural Heritage), is a great example of local traditional crafts.
The exhibition hall is a treasure house of wonderful art works, not only of palm leaves weaving, but also of straw weaving, crochet, bamboo weaving and so on.
Since the governments are paying more attention to the protection of ICH, Liu believes that there will be more and more young people attracted to the 200-year-old palm weaving and keep it going.
