In 2017, Chengdu made great achievements in tourism. The website of gochengdu.cn has listed the important happenings in the city’s tourism of the year.

Highlight 1: Panda Tour

Located in the northeast suburb of Chengdu, the Panda Base is one of the most popular places for travelers, and probably the most important base in the world dedicated to the protection of the giant pandas and other endangered species. Chengdu also has the Panda Post, with its branches around the city, which provide panda-themed postcards and all sorts of Panda derivative products. Furthermore, Chengdu becomes more famous somehow owns to the film Kung Fu Panda 3. The representation of the homeland of pandas in the film is based on the scenes in the Qingcheng Mountains featuring the green hills and cliffs.
