Chengdu is one of the top three domestic destinations for Chinese travelers who are planning a getaway during the upcoming May Day holiday.
Chengdu is one of the top three domestic destinations for Chinese travelers who are planning a getaway during the upcoming May Day holiday, according to a web-based survey by Baidu Travel, an online platform offering travel services. The other two are Beijing and Shanghai.
Another survey by Ctrip, China’s largest online hotel booking service provider, shows that Chengdu also ranked 3rd on China’s hottest popular domestic travel destinations list for the May Day holiday, behind Fujian Province's Xiamen and Yunnan Province's Lijiang.
Reputed as a Land of Abundance, Chengdu has long been a popular tourist destination for its largest number of giant pandas in the world, delicious food, balanced economic and social development, as well as abundant historical sites and enchanting natural scenery.
