Traffic Hotel (交通青年旅舍) The Traffic hotel is the oldest hostel in the city and is still a good option for budget travelers. The location is excellent, right on the river, two minutes walk to Xinnanmen bus station. And close to Sichuan University.

The Loft Hostel (四号工厂青年酒店) The Loft is one of the most popular hostels in the city. Good rooms and good service (most lodgers, if not all, speak English), and the first floor café is almost always full.

Nova Traveller’s Lodge (乐浮国际青年旅舍) This relatively recent addition to Chengdu’s hostels lies just north of Chunxi Road. It has a self-catering kitchen; located in a courtyard.

Dragon Town Hostel（龙堂青年旅舍）Dragontown is in Chengdu’s historical Kuan and Zhai Alley district and is one of the more beautiful hostels in town with excellent service and good rooms. Since Dragon Town opened in 2002, it has drawn thousands of foreign travelers around the world. Now Dragon Town II, the Loft Hoste is located in Xiaotongxiang Street.

Hello Chengdu Youth Hostel (老宋国际青年旅舍) The first hostel in Chengdu run by foreign backpackers, with over 20 years’ travel experience. Sim’s is nestled at the courtyard of a complex near Wenshu Monastery.
