2018-04-11 staff’s recent encounters on the streets of Tokyo will tell you something about the obsession of the giant panda among the Japanese people.
Such an adorable creature the giant panda is, that their images can be found in almost all cities all over the world. And it was not a surprise to the staff of the gochengdu website when they came across several shops selling panda-theme goods, including panda shoes, panda cookies, panda matcha, etc., on April 9 when they took a walk to the Ueno Station.
Xiangxiang, the female giant panda cub born at Tokyo's Ueno Zoo on June 12, 2017 and now living in the Ueno Zoological Gardens nearby, is beloved by Japanese people.
