Chengdu Welcomes First Captive Panda Twins Born in the Year

The 17-year-old giant panda “Fu Wa” at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (Panda Base) on Mar. 17 gave birth to male panda twins, the first captive twin pandas born in 2020.

The elder cub of the twins weighed 159.8g at birth and the younger weighed 119.5g, both are healthy. "Fu Wa" has given birth to 8 panda cubs in 5 times.
