Chengdu, 3rd Chinese City with Airport for Departure to Europe
According to a report released July 18 by the China Tourism Academy on tendency of travel to Europe, Chengdu ranked third among Chinese cities with airport(s) for departure to Europe in this year’s first half, just second to Shanghai and Beijing.

As the 22nd Session of the General Assembly of United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) draws near, Chengdu, the host city for the event, is now recruiting over 300 volunteers who can speak both Chinese and English or other minor languages for the session.

Government Departments Implement New Service Hours
Eleven departments of Chengdu municipal government, including the Public Security Bureau, Environment Protection Bureau, Tourism Bureau and Government Affairs Service Center, have announced the implementation of new service hours, starting on Aug. 1. The new policy signifies non-stop service on Saturdays and at lunchtime, which offers more convenience for local residents.
