The Chengdu agricultural commission recently announced that the four-day 2014 China Chengdu International Urban Modern Agricultural Expo (IUMAE) will be held from December 11-14 at the Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition & Convention Center.
The Chengdu IUMAE is sponsored by the Chengdu Municipal People's Government and Sichuan Provincial Department of Agriculture. It serves as a specialized agricultural platform that integrates information sharing, technology exchange, trade cooperation, and investment promotion. It’s been held regularly since 2013. Agricultural enterprises from home and abroad enthusiastically participated in the event last year, which was strongly supported by cities and autonomous prefectures of the province. A demonstration and interaction pattern for the entire industrial chain of agriculture has taken shape, which highlights the effect and transaction function of the expo.
The 2014 Chengdu IUMAE will further dramatize the urban modern agricultural features and the specialization of the industry, and will focus on presenting and transacting the achievements of agricultural technology. Its ultimate aim is to establish a platform for releasing technology achievements and technology demand information; demonstration and promotion; and exchange and cooperation for research institutes, agricultural enterprises and specialized cooperative organizations from both home and abroad to highlight the significance of invigorating agriculture through science and technology.
The 2014 Chengdu IUMAE will cover an area of 35,000 square meters and will gather over 1,000 agricultural exhibitors and 20,000 professional purchasers and partners. The exhibition will cover the entire industrial chain of agriculture, including modern agricultural technology, advantaged and featured agricultural products, leisure agriculture and rural tourism, and agricultural machinery and agricultural supplies.
