“More than 50 scenic spots in Seoul including lots of galleries and museums and those in Sichuan have been included into the mutual cooperative project. Both of us hope to promote the exchange of visits among the people of the two places,” said Mr. Park.
“Chengdu is the beautiful hometown of the giant panda, and a city with long history and profound culture. Qingcheng and Du Fu’s Thatched Cottage. I like the city very much,” said Mr. Park, adding that he visited Chengdu many years ago and was amazed by the historical heritage of the Three Kingdoms. “Almost all Koreans are familiar with and like the Three Kingdoms culture, and they hope to come to Chengdu and visit the Wuhou Shrine Museum to feel the charm of the Three Kingdoms.”
When visiting the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, Mr. Park spoke highly of the project and the ancient Sichuan people, “they were so great to scientifically use their wisdom and natural conditions to improve their quality of life.” He expressed that as a Korean citizen, he would like to promote the cultures of Sichuan and Chengdu to the people in Seoul.
