New Int’l Direct Flights to Chengdu to Open

Chengdu is expected to open direct flight routes to Mauritius, Colombo and Moscow in 2015.
Chengdu is planning to open more international long-range routes to some African countries, Russia, Turkey and France’s Paris, to further improve its international aviation network, said Mr. Yan Yuhua, manager of the marketing department of the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, at a promotion conference on December 4.
Air China made public its direct service between Chengdu and the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo which will be put into operation in February 2015.
Air Mauritius released that it had planned to use chartered flights for the direct air link between Chengdu and Mauritius beginning next February, which will be the first non-stop flight between central and western China and Africa. The flight time is about 9 hour.
In addition, Sichuan Airlines disclosed that a direct flight route from Chengdu to Moscow might open within next year.
Chengdu has so far opened 77 international (regional) air routes covering major cities in Europe and Asia-Pacific Region. In 2015, much more international flight routes will be launched, which will solidify Chengdu's status as China's fourth aviation city.

Schedule of Direct International Routes

A relevant official from the Chengdu Municipal Logistics Office said that Chengdu has so far opened 232 passenger and cargo air routes, including 76 international (regional) ones covering major cities in Europe, the US and Australia-Asia region. In 2015, much more international flight routes will be put into operation, which will solidify the city's status as China's fourth aviation city.
