On March 22, the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing (CGIC) convened a press conference for the presence of an Italian pavilion at the 98th China Food and Drinks Fair (CFDF), Chengdu.
The CFDF held at the Western China International Expo City, occupied a floor area of close to 210,000 square meters. As the largest one by scale in its history, it saw the attendance of nearly 4,100 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and regions throughout the world. And it attracted some consular officials from different countries who aimed to promote their home nations' wine.
"The Chengdu-Europe express rail cargo service between Milan and Chengdu was launched in 2017. I hope, via the rail link, Italian wine can be exported to Chengdu in the future," said Mr. Filippo Umberto Nicosia, Consul General of the CGIC. He noted that the CGIC attached great importance to the event, and regarded it as a golden opportunity to promote Italian wine.
