City Becomes Hottest Tourist Destination during Chinese New Year

During the traditional Chinese Spring Festival, Chengdu became one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country.
In the seven days, the city received 14.61million guests, increasing 15.1% year on year, and its tourist income hit RMB6.22billion (approx. US$1.00billion), up 28.5% over a year ago. Statistics show that Chengdu ranked 5th in both lists of national popular travel cities and destinations for self-service domestic travel, topping all cities in western China.

Chengdu Makes Its Mark on Tourist Map

Chengdu was named one of the "52 places to go in 2015" by The New York Times in January.
