China’s Largest Plant Science Museum Opens in City

China’s largest ever plant science museum was open to the public December 16 at the Chengdu Botanical Garden.
Built in 2008 and refurbished in 2017, the museum functions as a venue for exhibitions, science popularization events, academic lectures and art shows.
The museum with eight areas for exhibition, covers a floor area of 7,300 square meters. It encompasses a multi-functional cinema, an interactive space and a horticulture DIY space, offering teenagers a better understanding of nature and the world of plants via audio/video, motion sensing of science and technology, as well as specimen.
