Chengdu Ranks 54th Worldwide in Economic Competitiveness

On November 12, the National Academy of Economic Strategy (NAES), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and UN-Habitat co-released a report measuring economic competitiveness and sustainable competitiveness of 1,006 cities all over the world.
According to the report, 20 Chinese cities are listed on the ranking of the world's top 100 cities with strong economic competitiveness. Chengdu comes in 54th place, rising 6 positions compared with last year.
For the first time, the report classifies all candidate cities into five levels from A to E, and ten sub-levels, A+, A, B+, B, C+, C, D+, D, E+, E. Chengdu is classified into C+.
