Chengdu-Laos Regular Non-stop Flight Opens

Chengdu – Luang Prabang scheduled direct flight was officially put into operation on Dec. 4.
Chengdu – Luang Prabang scheduled direct flight was officially put into operation on December 4. Since then, Chengdu’s international and regional air routes have increased to 78.
The route is operated by Airbus A320 aircraft twice a week. The flight numbered QV813 takes off from Chengdu at 20:10 and arrives in Luang Prabang at 23:10 on every Wednesday and Saturday, and the return flight numbered QV814 takes off from Luang Prabang at 00:10 and arrives in Chengdu at 01:10 next day.
“The load factor of the flight has reached about 95% since the route was launched early this month. Chengdu is the first city in southwest China where Laos Airlines (LA) has opened regular passenger flights,” said Mr. Zhang De, acting manager of LA Chengdu office.

Chengdu-San Francisco Direct Flight Open

The Chengdu-San Francisco nonstop flight was put into service on June 11.

Schedule of Direct International Routes

A relevant official from the Chengdu Municipal Logistics Office said that Chengdu has so far opened 232 passenger and cargo air routes, including 76 international (regional) ones covering major cities in Europe, the US and Australia-Asia region. In 2015, much more international flight routes will be put into operation, which will solidify the city's status as China's fourth aviation city.

Chengdu is expected to open direct flight routes to Mauritius, Colombo and Moscow in 2015.
