The 2015 Chengdu International Sister Cities Youth Music Festival kicked off on July 24 at Eastern Suburb Memory, a music park in downtown Chengdu.
A total of 18 teams from Europe, America, Asia and Australia, with the number of the teams and participants hitting record high, will join hands with local musicians to put on stage a colorful feast of music performances,

Young singers from Perth, Australia, sang two English songs at Chengdu Working People’s Culture Palace. Timms Lindsay Avon, leader of the team from Perth, said that they could get a feel of the profound culture of Chengdu by watching the performances of local children on the spot.
The music festival of this year has 5 venues around the city and invites 18 foreign performance teams from 15 countries including the US, Canada, South Korea, Australia, India, Denmark, Estonia, Russia, Belgium, Turkey, German, Cuba and Singapore. 20 local bands will also take part in the event.

Civil Servants from Sister Cities Convene in Chengdu
The 2015 Summer Program for Civil Servants from Chengdu’s Sister Cities, sponsored by the Chengdu Municipal Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, was launched in Chengdu on July 20 and will run till July 29.
