The 7th day of the 7th month in the Chinese lunar calendar, which falls on August 28 this year,is considered a day of love and romance by the Chinese people, who are moved by the legendary love story of the Weaver Girl and the Cowherd Boy that has continued for about 2,000 years. Traditionally, the day is called the Double Seventh Festival or Qixi Festival, and celebration of the day is gaining popularity in China, especially among people of the younger generations.
